Emilly’s incredible skills as a project manager and consultant came into my awareness at the most perfect time. I was embarking on a project that required specific steps and timely coordination. We met up for coffee, she listened to my needs and then she provided a project outline, deadline reminders, and emails to keep me motivated and on task. With her keeping track of the details, I could focus on the vision for the work. She is everything you want as a project manager. She is attentive to details, highly organized, and a wonderful communicator. But the secret sauce is that as an artist she brings the agility and ability to pivot that is needed in accomplishing a goal.
— Dr. Montserrat Andreys, Founder of Heart Healthcare for Artists
Emilly’s kindness and strength-based approach are her greatest assets as a teacher! She created a positive, inclusive, empowering experience for all. I especially appreciated how she began each class with a “check-in” which contributed to our bonding as a group and feeling heard and seen. Support and care are essential to the creative process. I observed at our first class meeting how many of the students had taken other classes with Emilly and spoke so warmly about her as an instructor. That speaks volumes. I hope to take another class with her! — Literary Arts student
Working with Emilly Prado is nothing but an absolute pleasure. Her sterling work ethic and excellent writing skills, paired with a devotion to racial and social equity, made Emilly one of the “all-stars” of the Portland Mercury. Ignore her talent at your own risk! —Wm. Steven Humphrey, editor-in-chief at Portland Mercury
Emilly has the pulse on the local arts and cultural scene. [We hired her to produce] a storytelling event. It only took one call for her to grasp the concept and she knew what elements we needed to provide a meaningful experience as a storyteller and story listener; the music, the coaching, the selection of stories, and the storytellers. Emilly’s connections to arts and cultural players and personalities opened doors for us to engage people in our work who previously did not know much about us, and that made her and her services unique.” —Roberto Franco, Latino Partnership Program Director at Oregon Community Foundation
We needed a DJ who could take our vision and run with it. Emilly asked the right questions, was graceful and patient with our process, and she got excited about SHIFT along with us! We’ve gotten great feedback about the joyful and energetic auditory landscape she brought to our event. Would love to work with her again. —Mia Reiko Braverman, RACC
