Step into the messy, intimate, nonlinear, and deeply generative space of creative practice with writer and artist Emilly Prado for DRAWING THE DRAFT, a hybrid pop-up installation and interactive workshop exploring the behind-the-scenes making of her memoir-in-progress, OUTLINES. 

Blending literary and visual forms, Prado demystifies her journey of creating a as-of-now hybrid memoir, sharing early and ongoing experiments in blackout, weaving, collage, and storyboarding. Rather than presenting a polished product, this event celebrates the act of making—one mark, one sentence, one image at a time. Through a short artist talk, interactive making stations, and community conversation, participants will be encouraged to explore the in-between: the drafts, the fragments, the visual experiments, and the uncertainties that shape a work-in-progress. 

This event is for artists, writers, creatives, and curious folks of all levels. Come ready to play, reflect, and make alongside others. Soundtrack provided by DJ Mami Miami. All materials provided, registration required. Free and open to the public!
