$30.00

Description

This series of broadsides were completed during a certificate program at the Independent Publishing Resource Center in prose and book arts. The broadsides are excerpts from the poem “El Nopalito” from Emilly Prado’s zine, Con las dos manos/With Both Hands.

Each print was made using letterpress technique (metallic silver ink on Frida blue linen paper and black ink on white linen paper) then individually stamped with the cactus and cactus flower stamps. The stamps are made of rubber and were hand-carved referencing a photo of a cactus taken during a multidisciplinary residency in Michoacán, Mexico. The cacti were rolled with Speedball screenprinting ink (green and pink were hand-mixed.) 8.5″ x 11″

Each print color is an edition of 50.
